Put the board on the TV
Open the host screen on the biggest display in the room. It shows a four-letter room code and a QR code.

Scan the QR, or go to couchslop.com/play and type the code. Pick a name and you're in — no accounts, no downloads.

Earn gold, then spend it
Between waves you play trivia and mini-games. What you win buys towers in your own stretch of the map. Then the swarm arrives.
What you're getting into
Your own patch of map
Each player defends a contiguous stretch of the road, in their own colour. Four tower types, three upgrade levels, and nobody stealing your spot. Rooms of eight or more move to a bigger board automatically.
Or play the villain
One player can attack instead of defending. Spend menace on swarms, haste, shields and cloaks, sabotage a tower mid-wave, or aim a surge at whoever is winning.
Good to know
- Four is the sweet spot. Two works fine; past six it gets loud and chaotic in a good way, and the board grows so everyone still has room.
- Keep the TV tab in front. Browsers throttle background tabs, which stalls the game. Don't switch away mid-wave.
- Same room or far apart. Phones connect over the internet, so a remote player can join a screen-shared TV.
- Drop out and come back. A phone that locks or loses signal keeps its gold and sector for a minute.
- Twelve waves, twenty lives. Shared between all of you — and a mothership that gets through costs six.
